The author studied ancient classical Chinese at Taipei’s National Cheng Chi University.

His translation, THE ART OF WAR: SUN-TZU, has sold more than 125,000 copies since its initial publication.

He is now working with his wife, Carolyn Phillips, on his next book, which will be the translation of another early Chinese classic, the I Ching.
